location

Visit and get to know us better.

Oxford College is located on Emory’s original campus, 38 miles east of Atlanta, Georgia, in the small town of Oxford and just north of the city of Covington. That’s where we’re located on a map, but there is much more to know about where we are.

The best way to get a feel whether Oxford is a good fit for you is to visit. You'll find it easy to fall in love with the beauty of our campus and the warmth of our students, faculty, and staff. Plan a weekday tour and info session or come to a special visit event. The Atlanta campus is only a short distance away and easy to visit the same day.

Tour Oxford

Daily Campus Visits Academic Year (September–April)
Afternoon visits, beginning at 1 p.m., offered most weekdays. The visit includes a campus tour given by a current Oxford student and finishes with an information and academic session by an Admission Advisor. Ample time will be provided for you to get your questions answered.

Summer Visits (May–August)
Morning visits, beginning at 10 a.m., offered most Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays throughout the summer. Please note, students are not on campus in the summer, so all tours are led by an Admission Advisor.

To register for a campus visit, please select a date from the calendar below. Available dates are marked with a gray circle. Use the left and right arrows on the header to change months. Once you have selected a date, click on the circle and it will bring up an event link. Click on the event link to proceed to the registration form. Note, dates without a gray circle are either days when the Admission Office is closed or an event has reached maximum capacity.

A residential liberal arts campus

Oxford College students live in one of the five residence halls on campus. There is one dining hall, where everyone on campus eats. As they share meals, visit friends in residence halls, or enjoy outdoor common areas such as the beautiful, tree-covered Quad, Oxford's 900-plus students soon get to know a majority of their classmates.

Easily accessible to Atlanta

Despite its village setting and open environs, you'll find easy access to Atlanta from Oxford College as well as the many cultural and entertainment attractions found there. The 38-mile drive to downtown Atlanta takes less than an hour on the interstate. Regular, free shuttle service runs daily to Emory’s Atlanta campus, where students can easily connect with transportation to other parts of the city.
