Sophomore Night Headlines Spruell Basketball Classic

Oxford College Athletics will be hosting the first Dennis Spruell Basketball Classic, which will consist of four teams, playing in three games, in two days. The event is named in honor of Dennis Spruell, who along with the Spruell family, gave years of time and dedication to Oxford Athletics.

The games get started on Feb 17 at 5:30 PM as Oxford College takes on conference foe, Georgia Northwestern Tech. The second game of the night will take place at 8:00 PM with Southern Cresecent taking on Pasco-Hernando Community College, who is making the trip up from Florida. The final game will take place on Feb. 18 at 5:00 PM with Oxford College playing Pasco-Hernando Community College.

Additional activities will be taking place at the Feb. 18 game. An hour before game time (4:00p-4:45p), Oxford Department of Alumni Relations will be hosting a private reception. Before and during the game, Oxford Athletics will be celebrating this years sophomores, Stephen Simmons, Evan Dunwoodie, Brandon Bassell and Jason Levick.
