Pre-Professional Resources

This site is meant to set you off in the right direction when looking into continuing your education in one of Emory's Academic specialties. These include Medicine, Nursing, Law, and Business.

Pre-Pharmacy:

The Oxford curriculum provides background for a pre-pharmacy professional program. Students should also contact the professional school of their choice for more specific information as requirements differ by school. Each student planning to pursue pharmacy should work with his or her academic advisor to plan a program of study at Oxford College.

Students may take prepharmacy requirements at Oxford and apply to pharmacy schools of their choice. For most schools, the prepharmacy requirements are the following: Biology 141, 142; Chemistry 141, 142, 221, 221L, 222, 222L; Mathematics 111; Physics 141, 142; English 181; Economics 112; History 133; Political Science 100; and literature and social science electives.
